Museum Ground Collection Exhibition of Modern Art

The museum ground will hold its first collection exhibition to mark its third anniversary. The museum ground is showcasing world-class contemporary artworks to visitors, starting with a special exhibition by Jean Bogosian, the first artist of the Venice Biennale, in 2018, and successfully hosting a photo exhibition by René Magritte, the first surrealist artist to represent Belgium, in 2019. This collection exhibition introduces the direction and achievements of the museum ground's collection, while offering a chance to appreciate the works of various artists who lead the flow of international contemporary art in one place.

The composition of the exhibition is world-class contemporary works produced after the second half of the 20th century, and they are developed according to the way of expression without being bound by the theme. In the introduction of Section 1, you can see the works of Andy Warhol, the master of pop art, and in Section 2, you can see the works of Richard Serra, the master of minimalism. In Section 3, you can see Armand Fernandez's works using the Asemblage technique and in Section 4, you can see modern art works that transform photography into art.


Contemporary art in the late 20th century is more international and diverse genres than ever before. The ultimate purpose of this collection exhibition is to provide an opportunity to understand the multi-layered language and various materials of contemporary artists and to develop an aesthetic perspective that allows all visitors to easily see contemporary art.
